Cookie Policy

Effective as of August 28, 2026

1. What Are Cookies & Web Storage

Cookies and Web LocalStorage are small data files saved locally on your browser to help web applications remember your preferences, authentication state, and keep you securely logged in across visits.

2. Strictly Necessary Cookies We Use

Gistify stores only what the app needs to work: • Supabase auth session (cookie): a signed JWT that keeps you signed in to GitHub as you move between pages. • Language (LocalStorage): remembers Indonesian or English. • Editor theme and border style (LocalStorage): remembers the code theme and avatar frame you picked. • Cookie consent (LocalStorage): remembers that you answered this banner.

3. No Third-Party Tracking or Ad Cookies

We do not deploy marketing cookies, cross-site trackers, or third-party analytics pixels. Your browsing habits on Gistify remain completely private and are never monetized.

4. Managing & Clearing Cookies

You can clear or block cookies at any time via your browser settings. Note that disabling essential auth cookies will require you to re-login via GitHub every time you visit the platform.
